I. Allgemeines Bevor ich auf die Romane von James Patterson aufmerksam wurde, habe ich den Film "... denn zum Küssen sind sie da" gesehen. Irgendwer erzählte mir dann, dass es dafür eine Romanvorlage von eben diesem Autor gibt. Ich bin dann natürlich gleich mal wieder in meinem Lieblingsbuchladen und...

Spannender, ziemlich brutaler Alex-Cross-Roman..

Selten habe ich ein so sarkastisches, wenn nicht sogar zynisches Buch aus der Welt der Verbrechensbekämpfung gelesen. "Pop goes the weasel" ist zutiefst pessimistisch, was den Erfolg der herkömmlichen Methoden angeht und die Chancen auf Hoffnung, was privates Lebensglück anbelangt.

Vorteile: abwechslungsreich, spannend, sehr gut charakterisiert, erfordert geringe Englischkenntnisse...
Nachteile: sehr sarkastisch, ziemlich brutal, mit ein paar Längen in der Mitte
