zwar hat auch die dunkle Seite der Macht mit Torrez (Steven Seagal), Von (Don Johnson) und Senator McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) aufgerüstet. Doch Gott und Padre (Cheech Martin) sind auf Machetes Seite. mir ist der film zu brutal -

Die sinnbefreiten, blutspritzenden Goreszenen sind ebenso halbgar wie die verwurstete Story und der krampfhafte Versuch einen Trashfilm zu fabrizieren, welcher im Mainstreamkino laufen soll. Rodriguez hat einen Film mit diesen Vorgaben bereits besser umgesetzt, fast schon ein wenig schlampig, wie er seine eigene Idee hier quasi als Schlachtplatte präsentiert.
