Schätzungsweise wird es noch mehrere Zuschauer geben, die den Film entweder herausragend gut oder aber unterirdisch schlecht finden werden. Mir persönlich wurde bewusst, dass das Gesehene über Nacht noch ein wenig nachhallt, mich für meinen Teil nicht so schnell wieder loslassen wollte und somit anhand diverser Finessen -

The Children ist eine Verschlimmbesserung von Eden Lake und Ein Kind zu Töten. Wer diese beiden Filme kennt, wird mit The Children keinesfalls gedanklich überfordert sein, eher ein weit hergeholtes und oft zitiertes Thema abermals in Erinnerung rufen können. -

Ein spannender und zeitgleich gruseliger Film, für jeden Horror Fan! Die Handlung ist spannend injiziert, allerdings nichts für Leute, die kein Blut sehen können, da der Film an manchen Stellen den guten Geschmack etwas überschreitet. -

In ländlicher Abgeschiedenheit erkranken Kinder an einer Seuche; sie verwandeln sich in Mörder, die Jagd auf alle Erwachsenen machen … – Was so zusammengefasst wie billiger Routine-Horror klingt, ist tatsächlich ein ausgezeichnet geplotteter sowie filmisch und schauspielerisch sehr gut umgesetzter Gruselfilm mit diversen, der Story geschuldeten Härten.
