Foot of the Mountain (auf Deutsch „Fuß des Berges“) ist das letzte Studioalbum der norwegischen Band a-ha. Es erschien 2009 und erreichte Platz 5 in Großbritannien und Platz 1 der deutschen Album-Charts. Mit schönen Melodien und gute Refrains ist ihnen ein tolles Album gelungen. Einige Songs mischen 80er Sounds und aktuelle Produktionselemente. Dadurch erinnern sie ein bisschen an dieser Zeit aber sie bringen frische Popenergie kombiniert mit gutem Songwriting.
Ohne zweifel eine der bedeutendsten Popbands der letzten 30 Jahren. -
Nicht am Fuße des Berges, eher die Spitze...

Wieder einmal ein stimmungsvolles, harmonisches, tiefgehendes Album. Für mich eines der Besten von A-ha. Schade das es das letzte Studioalbum der drei war. Für Fans ist die Deluxe Edition sicherlich ein muss. Für Musikliebhaber wird sicherlich die normale Audio CD Version ausreichen. -
