Dies ist nun schon mein zweiter Bericht zu Nickelback, der erste wurde aus irgendwelchen Gründen nicht angenommen, diesmal zu der Single How you remind me.

Beim dem Lied fängt gleich der Gesang zusammen mit der Gitarre und später kommt dann das Schlagzeug dazu. Es ist nicht ganz so schnell, sondern eher wie eine „Rock-Ballade"(verzeiht mir diesen schrecklichen Ausdruck). Dieses Lied war auch seit langer Zeit wieder das erste Lied einer Kanadischen Band das auf Platz 1 in den USA stand. Und das Album Silver Side Up ist auch ziemlich weit oben in den Charts.

Chad Kroeger – Hauptgesang und Gitarre
Ryan Peake – Gitarre und Gesang
Mike Kroeger – Bass
Ryan („Nik") Vikedal – Schlagzeug

Die Band kommt aus Vancouver in Kanada, wie auch Creed die ähnliche Musik machen, und hat im März 2000 ihr erstes Album The State herausgebracht, welches ein großer Erfolg war. Es gibt sie aber schon seit 1996 doch damals kannte sie noch kein Mensch.

Sie waren 2000 mit den Liedern „Breathe" und „Leader of Men" in den top ten in den Mainstream Rock charts und mit dem Lied „Old enough" in den Top twenty. Damals tourten sie ohne Ende, und haben es bis vor ein Millionen Publikum geschafft, sie tourten auch als Vorband von Creed, Fuel... . Jetzt touren sie gerade durch Deutschland, wovon schnell alle Karten ausverkauft waren.

Meinung

Ich finde das Lied sehr schön, am besten finde ich die Stimme von Sänger Chad Kröger und dass das Lied nicht einfach von irgendwem erfunden wurde, sondern dass Chad es selbst erlebt hat. Die Musik gefällt mir auch sehr gut, obwohl ich normalerweise mehr auf schnellere Musik stehe.
