Somewhere I Belong (Single) - Linkin Park Testbericht

Hallo liebe Yopi-er,

nach einer Woche Pause bin ich in alter Frische zurück und stelle euch das neue Meisterwerk von Linkin Park vor.

Zunächst einmal möchte ich erwähnen, dass das vorige Album, welches \"Hybrid Theory\" hieß, ein voller Erfolg war. Dieses Album kam im Jahre 2001 heraus. Das neue Album, \"Meteora\", ist erneut dabei ein Kassenschlager zu werden. Die neue Single daraus heißt \"Somewhere I belong\" und ist am 17.02.2003 erschienen.

Die Band:

Viele von euch werden Linkin park (=> LP) bestimmt kennen, manche aber auch nicht. Darum stelle ich die Band kurz vor.

Die Band besteht aus 5 Mitgliedern.

- Chester Bennington ( Gesang )
- Rob Bourdon ( Schlagzeug )
- Brad Delson ( Gitarre )
- Joseph Hahn ( DJ )

Die Band wurde bekannt durch die Single \" One Step Closer\". Ich allerdings wurde auf Linkin Park aufmerksam, als ich das Lied \"In The End\" hörte. Das war bis jetzt ihr größter Hit. Danach folgten eigentlich für mich eher Flops. Denn die nächsten Lieder entsprachen einem anderen Sound als \"In The End\", in der Tat war es ein Technosound.
Doch mit \"Somewhere I Belong\" hat LP wieder einmal ins Schwarze getroffen. Das liegt wahrscheinlich daran, dass diese Single stark \"In The End\" ähnelt.

Der Text:

Das gesamte Album hat eine ganz andere Art, natürlich auf den Text bezogen. Die Texte auf dem Album sind sehr optimistisch und zuversichtlich. Auch werden mehr Gefühle, z. B. Angst in den Vordergrund gerückt. Hier habe ich den Text von \"Sonewhere I Belong\" zum mitlesen:

Wie auch bei \"In The End\" steigert sich die ganze Sache von kleinen elektronischen Spielereien zu einem allmählich härteren Sound.

Die Klangqualität:

Die Klangqualität ist einfach super. Darüber lässt sich eigentlich nicht viel berichten.

Das Cover:

Das Cover ist typisch für Linkin Park. Es sind verschiedene Graffity - Spraydosen dargestellt. Die eine Dose ist mit \"Shake Well\" beschriftet.

Mittig des Covers befindet sich der weiße Schriftzug der Band. Daneben ist \"Somewhere I Belong\" dargestellt.

Das Cover gefällt mir ganz gut.

Der Video - Clip:

Im Clip kann man meiner Meinung nach die Hölle erkennen. Chester stirbt und kommt in die Hölle und dann rockt die Band dort voll ab.

Der Preis:

Wie auch bei anderen Singles kostet diese um die 5 €. Das ist zwar nicht viel, aber man kann sich das Lied trotzdem bei KazaA kostenlos herunterladen.
Das Album dürfte um die 15 € kosten.

Fazit:

Eine absolut gelungene Single. Der Text passt zum Song. Das Lied wird auch nie langweilig. Für LP - Fans ist die Single absolut empfehlenswert.
