Habe mir aus Neugier mal das deutsche 2-DVD set von u571 ausgeliehen und begutachtet.
Grundsätzlich finde ich es schon wieder mal behindert, dass eine deutsche Firma wie Highlight Video die Rechte bekommen hat. Ich finde, Filme sollten immer von der Originalfirma vertrieben werden, in dem Falle Universal Pictures.

Es ist wieder mal Zeit für einen U-Boot Film, dachten sich Dino und Martha de Laurentiis wohl, als sie sich 2000 eine recht hochkarätige Besetzung zusammentrommelten, WK2-Kriegsfilme hatten grade Konjunktur zu dieser Zeit ("Saving Private Ryan", "Der schmale Grat" etc.) doch "U-571" floppte dennoch an der Kinokasse.
